The Beauty of the New Creation in Christ

This photo illustrates what is contained in the new creation.....God's eternal life.
Eternal Life isn't existing forever....it is God's quality of life.....the Life which He has in Himself that He gives to every true believer to have in themselves. As I continue to find appropriate photos to set before your eyes the Treasure that you have in your earthen vessel....physical body, I will be posting them to this site. Enjoy gazing upon them and think about what they are expressing about the New You.

A Study in the New Creation in Christ

Welcome to this New Creation Information blog.....
the material contained in this blog will inform and portray an internal picture of who YOU are IN CHRIST and Who CHRIST IS IN YOU!

The Scriptures are taken in their literal sense, for example:
"If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation, altogether, the old moral and spiritual condition has passed away, the fresh and new has come!"

In order to arrive at the sense of this verse, it must be taken to be the literal truth.....it is obvious this doesn't refer to the physical appearance, the mental and emotional realm, or the will. After receiving Christ as Savior, these areas are brought under the influence of the Word and the Spirit, but they are not recreated.

So, if a person becomes a new creation....where is it?

The Scriptures make it a habit of contrasting two things, such as: life and death, blessing and cursing, joy and sorrow, heaven and hell, etc.

Another contrast constantly set forth is: flesh and spirit.

The key to locating where the new creation resides is found in the verses prior to 2 Corinthians 5:17:

Verse 5:16
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more (after the flesh).

Here we are said to have known Christ after the flesh....or about Him in the days of His flesh.
The Four Gospels tell us about Christ in the days of His flesh.

At the time that Paul wrote this letter to the Corinthians, Christ was no longer with the believers in the flesh, He was now with them by the Spirit.

Paul is setting up a contrast here: knowing after the flesh and knowing after the (S)spirit.
He is using the example of Christ as an illustration of how we are to think of all people: after the spirit rather than after the flesh.

The New Creation is the re-creation of the human spirit in the new birth.

Anyone receiving Christ as Saviour, literally becomes a new creature....their human spirit is re-Fathered from above by receiving the very Life and Nature of God.

To know this New Creation that you have become in Christ, you must come to know yourself after the spirit rather than just after the flesh (or who you are physically).

The Apostle Paul was given a special revelation from Jesus Himself setting forth all the details of this New Creation.

I look forward to our studies and discussion of this wonderful subject.....
